Signs of the Last Days / Mitchell S Hutchins / General Weekly Devotional for Bulletin / Atheism; Worldly / 2 Timothy 3:1–5 Devotional

Godlessness in the Last Days

3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last

days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of

money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their

parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving,

slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the

good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure

rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness

but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.

The Holy Bible: New International Version (2 Ti 3:1–5).

(1984). Zondervan.

Do these characteristics seem like something we see in our

world today? If they do then what are we, the church, the

Ambassadors of Christ, doing about it?

If these are signs of the last days, and I believe they are,

then we should be hard at work to keep ourselves on the

right path with God and trying diligently to bring others to

Christ with us.

If you knew that your child had thirty days to live and that

they were not a Christian, what would you do? Many who

God created in His image are not in a relationship with Him

and if they died, or the end came for them today, they

would not go the Heaven, so what are we going to do

about it?
