Do you believe in God?
Updated: Jan 5
God is one of those topics that we often ponder about and even as a Christian we sometimes wonder if we are correct to believe and follow what we think of as God. In the Bible, right from the start, God is mentioned as though He were always there, without any mention of where He came from. The Bible just declares that God is, and that He created all that exists. That requires faith to accept. We can also reject that proposition, but if we believe the rest of the Bible message, and we reject God and His Son, Jesus, where does that leave us? The Bible says that if we refuse to believe that God is and that He is a rewarder of those who obey Him, the alternative is eternity in Hell. Since our choices are believe, confess, repent and obey to go to Heaven, or reject and spend eternity in the flames of Hell, then if you believe at all, it's not a hard decision to make. However, that should never be the only reason we have for believing and obeying God. We should love Him because He first loved us and proved His love be sending His only begotten Son, Jesus, to pay our sin debt by dying on the cross in my place.
Do you believe in God? Do you believe in Jesus? Do you accept that Jesus is our substitute sacrifice?
